City Beach
BRIEF
With the kids getting older and spending less time at home our clients wanted to have a house that was flexible and could adapt to their changing lifestyle. One that could accommodate the kids while they were still living at home and provide separate living spaces for everyone, but also a house that was flexible and wouldn't feel empty as their kids started to move out.
DESIGN
We wanted to make sure that the living areas were able to maximise the views over the suburb to encourage the feeling of space and help the house connect with the environment. The upside down design provides plenty of light into the area and maximises the north facing orientation of the block to maximise views over the nearby golf course and suburb.
CONSTRUCTION
The house was designed with 36 course ceilings in the living and bedrooms downstairs and a raked ceiling upstairs that provides 40 course ceilings in the living and dining spaces. The end result is nothing short of stunning!
